VelvetClipPrivacy Policy
This policy explains what information VelvetClip ("we", "us") collects through velvetclip.com and while providing our short-form video service to med spas and aesthetic clinics, and how we use it. VelvetClip is operated by Asonta J. Evans. Questions: hello@velvetclip.com.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. When you request free samples or contact us, you send us your name, spa name, email address, city and state, website or social handle, and anything else you choose to include. Our sample-request form opens your own email app, so these details reach us as an ordinary email.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email, billing details and payment status, but we never see or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
- Client materials. If you become a client, we receive the brand assets, video clips, service menus, promotions and other content you provide, plus the access you grant to your social media accounts through our scheduling tool's official connection (we never ask for your passwords).
- Website data. Our website host (GitHub Pages) may log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and operations. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that sets no cookies, to count visits. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. Sample-request form submissions are delivered by Formspree to our email.
How we use it
- To make and send the sample videos you request, and to reply to you.
- To provide the service: planning, producing, scheduling and reporting on your videos.
- To bill you and keep business and tax records.
- To send occasional follow-up emails about our service. You can opt out at any time by replying "stop" or "no thanks."
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Patient information
Our service is marketing, not medical care. Please do not send us patient medical records or other protected health information. If you choose to supply before/after photos or patient testimonials for a video, you are responsible for obtaining the patient's written consent and for complying with the rules that apply to your practice. We use such material only for the videos you approve.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we use to run the business, such as Stripe (payments), our email provider, our cloud storage, our social media scheduling tool, and the video and AI production tools we use to create your videos, and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep sample-request emails for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We keep client records for as long as you are a client and afterward as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you, by writing to hello@velvetclip.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor requests as the law requires.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Our service is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
